Learn more about this agency Duties You will lead and standardize installation processes and training across the afloat installation workforce, ensuring enterprise-wide consistency, workforce readiness, and compliance with Naval Modernization policies You will lead the implementation of organizational change and continuous process improvement initiatives across the workforce, applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency, reduce cycle time, and improve installation and design results You will lead development and delivery of Naval Modernization Process (NMP) training to Program Managers, establishing standardized frameworks and ensuring workforce proficiency in NMP processes to support efficient fielding You will direct the evaluation and tracking of product maturity and platform integration, ensuring alignment with Naval Modernization policies and enabling informed readiness and fielding decisions You will supervise, mentor, and evaluate personnel while identifying and coordinating training and development needs, ensuring a highly skilled and mission-ready workforce You will direct installation risk management efforts, identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while advising senior leadership on issues requiring escalation and strategic intervention You will lead integration of acquisition and Naval Modernization Process (NMP) milestones, analyzing product maturity requirements and establishing earliest achievable fielding timelines You will serve as senior advisor to the Advance Planning IPT (AP IPT), providing authoritative recommendations on fielding strategies based on integrated product maturity and platform readiness assessments Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a US Citizen. Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or DP-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing process and training consistency across the workforce; Evaluating and tracking product maturity and platform integration; AND advising on fielding plans based on product maturity and Integration evaluations. The pay schedule and pay band for all Demonstration Project Professional Positions will be DP-1/2/3/4. In accordance with NAVWAR Echelon II compensation model, this position has been classified as a DP-04 Control Point position with a salary cap to the GS-14 Step 10 equivalent. This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.
