Must have a practical knowledge of mathematics and be capable of learning how to estimate safe working loads for rigging gear applications. Operating heavy-duty winch equipment, reeling devices, hoists, man-lifts and material and weight handling equipment. Performing high angle emergency rescue techniques used for removing an injured person from a tower and/or mountainous terrain. Performing first aid and maintain qualifications for performing adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Ability to assist with operating heavy equipment such as winches, cable reeling devices, hoists, rigging gear, scaffolding, man-lifts and weight and material handling equipment. Basic knowledge of proper knots, splices, and termination for both wire rope and manila line. Ability to perform emergency rescue techniques used for removing an injured person from a tower.
