Duties
Assists in the operation of a coffee shop by preparing and serving coffee beverages, non-alcoholic drinks, and pre-made food items following established procedures.
Operates basic food-service equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and warmers. Takes customer payments
and operates a cash register.
. Maintains a clean and sanitary work area, utensils, and coffee bar.
. Restocks supplies as needed. Provides routine customer service by answering simple questions and ensuring prompt service.

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one-year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, to include a Tier 1 investigation.
Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
Must possess the physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds: occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds.
Possess ability to stand for prolonged periods and performs repetitive motions.
Work is primarily indoors. Exposed to hot steam, hot liquids, and minor cuts or burns. Follows established safety procedures.
Must attend Team Member Orientation within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
This is a flexible position. Flexible positions have no guaranteed hours. A flexible employee serves in a continuing position on a scheduled or as needed basis.
Must be available to work rotating shifts. which includes days and evenings.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
1. Skill and knowledge to perform routine food service tasks involving several steps in sequence, such as preparing beverages, operating basic equipment, and maintaining sanitation.
2. Ability to apply simple arithmetic when calculating patron bills and making change
Skills and Knowledge:
Skill of basic food-service procedures and ability to perform tasks involving several steps in sequence. Skill in operating simple beverage-preparation equipment. Ability to apply basic arithmetic when calculating bills and making change.
Responsibility:
Work is performed under general supervision. Follows established procedures and receives instructions on new or unusual tasks. Work is reviewed for accuracy, sanitation, and customer service standards.

Area of Consideration
This job is open to candidates who live in the local commuting area (U.S. Citizens and Non U.S. Citizens that live within 50 miles of Ft. Rucker AL). Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.

PCS Costs
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials
This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
