Locums Anesthesiologist Physician

We are seeking a dedicated Locums Anesthesiologist Physician to provide anesthesia coverage in Plattsburgh, NY. Ideally, the candidate will cover two consecutive weeks per month to ensure continuity of care alongside the existing schedule. The position includes 24-hour call shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, with both first and second call rotations. While the primary responsibility is first call, second call is rarely needed after 7:00 PM. During weekends, call responsibilities alternate between first and second call to ensure that first call duties are never more than 24 hours consecutively. Candidates must be able to respond within a 15-minute timeframe for all calls. Responsibilities: The locum anesthesiologist will handle a variety of "bread and butter" surgical cases, serving as the primary anesthesiologist for orthopedic and general surgery, which are the highest volume cases. Call responsibilities include obstetrics (OB) cases as well. The position requires managing approximately 4-5 cases per day, with duties focused on the operating room (OR) and labor and delivery (L&D) services. The facility features nine main ORs, and shifts typically run from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with additional on-call coverage as agreed upon.   Qualifications:   Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
