Duties
Performs and manages all financial management services for the Directorate of Athletics and AFAAA. Ensures compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force and NCAA rules on revenue generation and expenditures for all Directorate of Athletics programs; monitors and adjusts programs where necessary to comply with NCAA principle of Gender Equality (Title IX). Directs, oversees and ensures an accurate, complete and effective appropriated fund budget program in accordance with Air Force and Academy directives, guidelines and objectives. Develops, implements, executes and supervises non-appropriated fund budgeting, procurement and contracting, investments of funds, banking management, commercial credit and financial reporting systems for the AFAAA. Provides technical financial management advisory services to the Executive Director of Athletics, AFAAA Advisory Council, and other management activities for which the finance office provides support on the financial condition and other financial aspects of their activities. Based on review and analysis of current accounting and budget data, identifies systemic and procedural problems and initiates corrective action. Instructs manager of the various fund activities on the preparation of their individual accounting and budget reports. Oversees and manages execution of appropriate and non-appropriated fund budgets for the Directorate of Athletics. Supervises and consolidates budget requirement submissions for all Directorate of Athletics activities. Provides interface and liaison with offices and agencies external to the Directorate of Athletics for financial and accounting services, oversight and audit matters; accumulates and reports financial data for external and internal review. Works closely with finance offices at MWC and other athletic conferences and associations to ensure compliance with NCAA and conference financial directives and to facilitate timely and accurate receipt of conference distributions and payment of required assessments. Provides accurate financial information to internal and external agencies for required reports, audits and other purposes. Ensures timely, accurate preparation and submission of NCAA-required financial reports. Evaluates reports and initiates appropriate action in response to NCAA Certification Reports, Audit Agency reports, Inspector General findings, conference and other collegiate athletic governing body inquiries pertaining to the financial status and operation of the Directorate of Athletics and AFAAA. Develops and maintains working relationship with USAFA/FM Comptroller and Non-appropriated Fund Accounting Offices to secure efficient and effective accounting and financial services for the directorate. Responsible for the accumulation and report of financial data required by the MWC, the NCAA and other college athletic governing bodies charted with the responsibility of governing and policing various aspects of college athletics. Prepares request and supporting documentation for Department of the Air Force seeking deviations to written Air Force policy that hinders the execution of programs associated with a major college athletic program. Prepares meeting agendas and briefs the AFAAA Advisory Committee on all financial manager responsibilities including budgets, capital acquisitions and assets, analysis and routing daily activities.

The salary shown is the minimum (Annual) amount to be paid and may be set higher commensurate with individual's qualifications and experience.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's Degree and must have at least 10 years of experience working in the DoD Financial system
Candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.
Leadership experience in curriculum development and academic assessment is desired.
Applicants will be assessed based on education, evidence of teaching effectiveness, quality of scholarship, and demonstrated service to educational institutions and the discipline commensurate with years in the discipline.

EDUCATION:

FOREIGN EDUCATION:
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the educational requirements. However, you must show proof that the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in a conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying in the form of an "official" statement of U.S. equivalency from a Department of Education approved (non-federal) agency (i.e. AICE, NACES), who will complete a U.S. Standard of Education Conversion.
