Summary This position is located at at Nagorski Golf Course, Ft. Shafter, HI (Island of Oahu). Duties Supervisor provides specific instructions on how and when each project is to be done. Work is checked after completion to ensure that instructions have been followed. Waters the Golf Course during the evening, day or weekend. Maintains log of completed work for the next crew. Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Ability to move manual irrigation to water grass evenly. Skill in using common gardening tools. Responsible for watering Golf Course by following specific instructions given by the supervisor. Works unsupervised and all work products are evaluated after completion. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping to move manual irrigation to different dry areas on the Golf Course. May be tasked to carry heavy objects such as bags of fertilizer, grass, seed, etc., weighing up to 50 pounds. Work is done outside, possibility in rain or in uncomfortably hot and humid conditions. Exposed to cuts and bruises from falls or from carrying materials and supplies. Exposed to dirt, dust, mud, and sometimes to chemical sprays and dust. May be required to wear protective clothing such as gloves and safety glasses. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
