Job Description
Summary
As a Project Manager for Real Estate Sales (also known as Realty Specialist), you will perform a variety of management and disposal duties such as implement real property asset management and disposal strategies and actions.Location of position: PBS/Office of Real Property DispositionThe Office of Real Property Disposition is responsible for the disposal of excess Federal real property.
We are currently filling two vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Duties
Reviews Reports of Excess; works with client agencies to obtain property information and complete Reports of Excess process. Analyzes data submitted, determines accuracy of reports; makes recommendations for accepting or returning reports.
Develops disposal plans and strategies that may include exchange strategies and entering into leases or permits as appropriate.
Screens suitable and available property for use by homeless providers; conducts outreach seminars; meets with local community representatives, State officials, private citizens and representatives from other federal agencies, etc.
Prepares environmental assessments and complies with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 to ensure all environmental and historical factors of significance have been considered in preparing the Disposal Plan.
Serves as focal point person on customer outreach and asset management opportunities; develops materials to facilitate utilization, customer outreach and customer service.

Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C or NonCareer SES employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the HR Office. Failure to disclose this information could result in disciplinary action including removal from Federal Service.
Serve a one year probationary period, if required.
Undergo and pass a background investigation (Tier 2 investigation level).
Have your identity and work status eligibility verified if you are not a GSA employee. We will use the Department of Homeland Security’s e-Verify system for this. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of continued employment.
Have a valid driver's license
Occasional travel is required
Qualifications

If you have volunteered your service through a National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, Americorps), we encourage you to apply and include this experience on your resume.The GS-12 salary range starts at $94,654 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is one year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is performing real estate disposal, sales and transfer actions for excess and surplus commercial and/or industrial properties. This experience must include:
Researching, interpreting and applying real estate disposal laws, regulations and procedures;
Developing and implementing property disposal plans and strategies;
Performing real estate site inspections;
Conducting highest and best use analysis for real property;
Negotiating and preparing the terms of disposal and transfer agreements; and
Conducting customer outreach and marketing for real estate disposal and transfer opportunities.
