LPN/LVN - Long Term Care (Contract, Rio Rancho NM)

Ref #: C-LPN-9059613 Location: Rio Rancho, NM Type: Contract (Non-Travel) Duration: 11 weeks Start: ASAP Schedule: Tue, Thu, Fri, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM Rate: Local: $1,120 / 36 hours Requirements: Active LPN license for the state of New Mexico BLS certification Key responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, ADLs. Perform focused patient assessments and contribute to individualized care plans. Administer and monitor medications, IVs, and other treatments per protocols. Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds; watch for infection/complications. Obtain and document vital signs and changes in condition; maintain accurate medical records. Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing. Manage urinary catheters (insertion, care, monitoring) as required. Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care. Provide basic life support and respond to emergencies per facility protocols. Follow infection control standards and proper PPE use. Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely and per regulations. Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff to coordinate care. May supervise CNAs/UAPs when assigned. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
