WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Operates vehicles in all types of traffic conditions on public and non-public roadways.
- Operates vehicles during inclement weather.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 20 years of age in order to be considered.
- Must have three year driving experience.
- Must be able to accommodate flexible work schedules to include night time, weekends and holidays.
- Government Owned Vehicle (GOV) operator¿s permit is required for the performance of duties for this position. Inability to obtain or maintain appropriate GOV licensing will result in termination for lack of qualifications. The incumbent is required to obtain required GOV licenses within 30 days of hire.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess knowledge of training techniques, such as providing examples, demonstrations, and hands-on behind-the-wheel instruction related to driver¿s education, or be able to learn these skills.
- Knowledge and skills in operating vehicles with secondary braking system and controls. Day and night driving may be required.
- Ability to read street maps and reach unfamiliar locations as well as knowledge and skills in selecting safe, legal routes. Must be familiar with the Japanese traffic laws.
- Knowledge to make judgments concerning various vehicles¿ dynamic characteristics: overhead and side clearance, turning radius, braking distance, and the distance to be maintained from other vehicles.
NOTE:
Appointment and continued employment is subject to a favorable Tier 1 investigation (CNACI), required for positions that involve working with children under 18 years of age.
