Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Hawaii has many outdoor activities all year-round including surfing, fishing, and hiking. Duties As the Realty Specialist, responsible for real property inventory, real property audit readiness, real estate transactions, real property assignments, and space utilization management. Facilitate real property space assignments, issues and maintains facility assignment (key issue) documentation. Analyzes issues according to pertinent policy and regulation and proposes solutions for the issues. Requirements Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Incumbents may be assigned to an irregular tour of duty. May be required to work odd hours, weekends and holidays. Incumbent shall be required to have a valid State Drivers License obtain and maintain Government Drivers License. This position requires 10% temporary duty travel (TDY). Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes acquiring real property rights in fee or by lease; utilize knowledge of real property appraisal process and conducting compliance inspections of real property. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Additional information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
