Medical City Dallas the only hospital in North Texas with both a full-service children's hospital and obstetric hospital within the same facility.  The congenital heart surgical program is comprised of two congenital heart surgeons with neonates/infants comprising 70-80% of surgical volume. Medical City Children’s Cardiology services are currently provided by 15 physicians including 3 interventional cardiologists, 1 electrophysiologist, and 3 advanced imaging physicians who perform fetal echocardiography, cardiac MRI and cardiac CT. Additionally, there are 9 outreach pediatric cardiologists who provide outpatient cardiology services and perform fetal echocardiograms with Heart Center for Children and Pediatric Cardiology of North Texas who are part of the Heart Center. The cardiac ICU is staffed by 7 trained cardiac intensivists and 9 advanced practice providers. Dallas is the 9th largest city in the US and the third largest in Texas with a population of 1,281,047.
