Learn more about this agency Duties Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the work of writers, actors, narrator, or other speakers, musicians, set designers, recording and sound technician, and motion picture and television cameramen in to order to produce the actions, sounds or visual effects required for the finished production. Plans, organizes, directs, produces, shoots and edits video/audiovisual productions, develops graphics and illustrations, and provides photographic support. Designs and develop audiovisual productions, graphics, and illustrations for national training products and programs in consultation with project managers, supervisors, and instructional designers. Creates graphical elements and illustrations to complement and enhance web-based training and video production. Serves as a Bureau of Prisons (BOP) expert on all matters relating to video/audiovisual products and productions. Requirements Conditions of employment U.S. Citizenship is Required. Qualifications To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements:Education:There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position.Specialized Experience:You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes work directly connected with the production aspects of the field(s) of the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Experience taking productions from conception to completion to include: Scriptwriting/re-writing and storyboarding, capturing video, either in the field or the studio, editing the video, with added soundtracks and music, and provide a finished product to the client in various pre-approved formats. Experience and ability to work independently, without supervision, interacting with clients at various levels, obtaining approvals and talent releases, keeping accurate records during production and meeting client requirements. Experience taking group/individual photos and portraits in a studio and photography in an active/live setting (i.e. training demonstration, live demonstrations, etc.) If applicable, Credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience.
