Duties
Serves as the Program Administrator and subject matter expert (SME) for the installation Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) Program.
Directly supervises and provides guidance and training to the BOSS President and Vice President on all assigned duties. Also responsible for providing guidance and training to over 500 BOSS representatives on the installation.
Oversees, plans, administers activities based on pillars of BOSS Program, i.e. community service, recreation, leisure. Plans, coordinates special events assigned to Directorate of Morale, Welfare, Recreation (DMWR), Recreation Division (RD).
Initiates purchase requests and follows progress until completion with outside agencies, using Standard Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) Contracting System (SNACS). Prepares and submits an annual NAF Budget.
Collects applicable fees for events, accounts for monies, petty cash funds, prepares Daily Activity Report, monitors, prepares Rec-Trac data and makes daily deposits. Resides on the following councils committees: Community Service Council,

A one-year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
Hours of work may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
This position is designated as a Key Essential position for the purpose of deploying during contingency operations to support Soldiers.
A State's valid driver's license may be required.
Working Conditions: Work is normally sedentary and performed in an office environment. However, from time to time outside work is required to support special events.
This outside work may involve heat, cold, dust, mud, wind, etc.
The mental and physical requirements include oral, visual, and audio ability at a level to ensure that the duties of this position will be performed at both a safe and satisfactory level.
The job requires long periods of sitting, standing, walking (sometimes on uneven surfaces), climbing, kneeling, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
Regular lifting and carrying of light to moderate weights up to 60 pounds.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must have experience performing work similar to the duties listed above.
Must be able to manage multiple projects and determine priorities of work under the guidance of SOPs, APF and NAF BOSS regulations, and immediate supervisor.
Ability to learn military correspondence procedures and dealing with the public.
Must also possess excellent verbal and written skills in English.
Must have a working knowledge of basic software computer programs.
Knowledge of budget formulation and administration is also required.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
Highly Qualified Criteria
Must have the following :
2 years' experience in planning and executing recreational programs
1 year experience in budget formulation
1 year special events experience for medium to large events IE 4th of July, Oktoberfest, MOMC or equivalent sized events
Experience leading Internal Progress Reviews (IPR) and briefing Garrison Command and MWR Leadership.

PCS Costs
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials
This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
