LTCG is a leading provider of business process outsourcing for the insurance industry, managing over 1.3 million long-term care policies for the nation's largest insurers. We also provide clients with unique risk management insight built upon our proprietary long term care databases.

As member of the LTCG DBA team, the Database Administrator is responsible for end-to-end management for enterprise database systems and provides support to all LTCG's business units. Responsibilities include building configuring new systems with latest versions of Microsoft SQL, providing front line support and troubleshooting for database related issues, interacting one on one with business users while assisting them with their requests, maintaining and/or creating new process standards, and developing support automation. In this role, you will work closely with a dedicated group of team members which will mentor and develop your skillset. We are seeking a detailed oriented, well organized and self-motivated individual who will contribute to the success of Database Team at LTCG

1. Performs activities related to day-to-day administration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL databases.
2. Performs installations, upgrades, patching and maintenance of all supported SQL Server editions.
3. Provides first level troubleshooting SQL support for database issues related to normal day-to-day software application services and provide system migrations, as needed.
4. Conducts root cause analysis on database and application related issues reported by incident management tools.
5. Works under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment. Consults with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience.
6. On-Call after-hour support for production environments.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science / Management Information Systems
• 0-3 years of experience programming with Transact SQL (MS SQL Server)
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016/2017
• Knowledge of Microsoft SSMS, SSRS and SSIS
• Experience with implementing, maintaining, tuning and deploying objects in development and production environments.
• Concepts of database and systems security
• Principles and practices of database administration.
• Knowledge of IT operations and workflow processes/procedures

Preferred

• Knowledge of 3rdparty DBA tools (Redgate)
• Knowledge of Active Batch
• Knowledge of SentryOne monitoring
• Knowledge of Service Now
