ABAQUS Equation Solvers and Linear Dynamics Developer

Role Description & Responsibilities

As a ABAQUS Equation Solvers and Linear Dynamics Developer you will develop top-class, robust software that delivers ultimate performance, scalability, and maintainability to enable scientist and engineers to simulate with high fidelity complex models of products and nature. Our highly qualified team is challenged with developing state-or-the-art, high-performance, massively parallel algorithms like robust iterative and direct equation solvers, large scale eigensolvers, constraint solvers, modern linear dynamics and substructuring functionality on advanced multicore clusters and GPGPUs to support finite element simulation computations.

This position offers excellent potential for technical career growth and leadership through contributing to the advancement of the algorithms and software. The successful candidate will have work on simulation software development and modern programming techniques.

Qualifications

• Education Level: PhD in Physics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science.
• Years of work experience: 5+ years

Background:

• Excellent background in computational linear algebra and applied mathematics.
• Knowledge of Finite Element Method concepts.
• Proven programming skills. Very good understanding of C++. Some experience with Python and Fortran is a plus.
• Familiarity with advanced programming techniques in particular, high performance computing and parallel programming.
• Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate in a team structure. Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
