Job Title: Abinitio Architect

Job summary

- In-depth understanding of AbInitio ETL technology.

- In depth understanding of Talend ETL technology.

- Define reusable design patterns e.g. data movement (inbound/outbound) processes data validation processes data load & extraction processes etc.

- Setup metadata repository for connections schemas and contexts to be used across jobs Define / Develop foundational components, error / Audit framework, s ource acquisition, ETL framework, etc.

- Create detailed technical design documents.

- Ensure job modularity by dividing the ETL flow into manageable jobs/processes to ensure reusability.

- Identify dependencies b/w multiple ETL flows and define the coding specifications.

- Assist developers to fine-tune Talend job performance.

- Review Talend jobs unit test cases and test results.

- Oversee the Talend development.

- Guide and mentor the developers during coding and testing.

- Optimize development through solution accelerators & value creators.

- Perform fixes by providing strategic solutions to address recurring issues.

- Monitor the progress of all the assigned work items and re-prioritize based on project needs.

- Coordination with Change Control board for code deployment access control release management.

Roles/Responsibilities

- Good experience in Ab initio development and migrating data from On-prem to AWS using Ab Initio.

- Should have good experience in Talend.

- Should have good experience in AWS (EC2, S3).

- Should have good experience in Snowflake, Teradata and Oracle database.

- Good experience in ETL and Data warehousing concepts.

- Good experience in SQL.

- Good experience in troubleshooting and performing root-cause Analysis.

- Good experience in unit testing & defect fixing.

- Good communication skills.

- Good experience in Agile Development Methodology.

- Experience in Onshore Offshore delivery model.

- Experience in working on CRUD Operations and Data modeling.

- Excellent understanding of various database design patterns and physical architectures for different use cases.

- Schema and architecture design - working with the application/development team.

- Query fine tuning & index re-build.

- Explain the query plan and work on improving performance.

Primary: Hartford - CT USA

Salary and Other Compensation :

The annual salary for this position depends on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
