Job Summary:
This position will be assigned a portfolio comprising of 10-15 asset-based lending (ABL) clients. An ABL client has a loan that is typically secured by the borrower's receivables, inventory, equipment or a combination of these assets. The ABL Relationship Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the portfolio including monitoring advances, collateral, borrowing bases, analyzing financial and collateral performance and trends, and providing excellent customer service. These duties must be performed in conjunction with adhering to credit policy and funding based on the terms and conditions of the loan agreement.
An ABL Relationship Manager's primary responsibilities are to manage multiple client accounts while gaining increased knowledge of and exposure to the planning and client-management side of the business. This position also requires an individual capable of drafting high-quality client materials and presentations, evaluating and appropriately responding to client account trends. The ideal candidate will understand lending and banking practices, possess the ability to work without direct supervision, and enjoy formulating solutions to complex situations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors, measures, and analyzes collateral and financial performance of an ABL client as well as the overall assigned portfolio.
- Reconcile an ABL client's collateral to the company's Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
- Spread and analyze company financials, discuss trends with company personnel, and ensure the client follows contracted financial covenants.
- Communicate expectations quickly and accordingly to the borrower as well as to management when challenges in the portfolio are presented.
- Basic underwriting as well as preparing credit request for an ABL client when changes to the credit facility are requested.
- Perform annual reviews of the company, assessing the collateral and financial performance of the borrower as well as any trends.
- Coordinate with the ABL Stucky Loan Administration department to meet customer requests for advances.
- Review the Borrowing Base Certificates for each ABL client in the portfolio with final sign off accuracy.
- Travel required to meet with the borrower to further assess its operations and performance as well as to develop a strong relationship.
- Credit file maintenance.
- Develop solid relationships with the ABL client's C.E.O./C.F.O. as well as administrative staff.
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Deepen existing client relationships while generating incremental business through cross-selling bank products.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business discipline or the equivalent experience.
- 5 years prior credit experience preferably in asset-based lending.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed and fast paced environment.
- Superior skills with the Microsoft Office package (especially Excel).
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into operational requirements.
- Confidence, tact, and a persuasive manner.
- Identifies critical issues with ease.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals ranging from executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
