Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Academic Technical Lab Enablement Lead you will play a crucial role in helping IBM and university stakeholders (faculty students and broader learner ecosystems) succeed in helping prepare students for a successful career leveraging technology. Your responsibilities will include:

• Design and Develop Labs: Create innovative hands-on-labs and learning experiences focused on AI technologies and supporting products to drive adoption and engagement at universities.
• Deliver Training: Conduct train-the-trainer sessions to enable the faculty. Provide ongoing support through office hours.
• Curriculum Integration: Assist universities in incorporating IBM’s content into their curriculum ensuring alignment with academic goals and standards.
• Documentation and Best Practices: Capture and document best practices for AI and Data technologies creating articles tutorials hands-on workshops and demos.
• Engagement and Advocacy: Engage with university stakeholders and non-profit partners fostering relationships and promoting IBM technologies.
• Project Leadership: Lead projects involving multiple technical teams and external stakeholders across geographies ensuring successful development implementation and deployment of labs within the IBM curriculum.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience: 5+ years developing hands-on exercises and technical curriculum related to data engineering machine learning and AI technologies.
• Programming Proficiency: Expertise in programming languages such as Python Java or C++ and experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow PyTorch or scikit-learn.
• Generative AI: Knowledge of generative AI using LLMs whether proprietary or open source.
• Cloud: Proficiency working with Docker containers and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Experience working with a major cloud provider like AWS Google Cloud Azure or IBM Cloud.
• Educational Technologies: Strong expertise in educational technologies and instructional design methodologies.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Training Delivery: Proven experience in delivering engaging training classes and office hours.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3+ years of experience in Big Data technologies (Hadoop Spark)
• Expertise with libraries such as transformers and Lang chain.
• Experience with deep learning models using Kera’s.
• Deep Understanding of Statistical Machine Learning Models with Python or R
• Experience with Watson Studio and IBM AI API
• Understanding of data science open-source technologies including Python Jupiter notebooks TensorFlow and Spark
• Big Data Certifications on Cloudera/Hortonworks/AWS/GCP/Azure
• Experience with AI Fairness 360 toolkit and/or Watson Open Scale
• Experience with IBM software solutions across multi-cloud platforms Pak for Data
• Experience in Data and AI offerings on public clouds (AWS Azure Google etc.)
• Experience with Databases and Data engineering.
• Experience working with faculty and/or researchers in academia.
• Experience developing engaging hands-on exercises and demos to engage students and developers
