MNTN is looking for an Account Director who is responsible for achieving revenue targets by increasing customers' share of wallet and annual recurring revenue as a part of our customer success organization, working with MNTN’s largest customers. This includes the development of long-term relationships with customers as well as crafting strategic account plans. The Account Director will achieve this through solution selling capabilities, providing insight into customer report cards and direct, face-to-face contact with the customer.
Responsibilities include building relationships at all levels with a focus on c-suite, and effectively navigating the customer's organization. You will guide and assist customers in achieving a successful start with MNTN and help them expand the value realized from our self-serve platform and internal team members. The Account Director role will collaborate closely with a Partner Manager to address all customer-facing requirements and serve as the main point of escalation for customer issues. This is a key role at one of the pioneers of Performance TV technology companies in the entire US. Successful candidates will be high energy, data-minded, naturally inquisitive, and have a deep understanding of the marketing landscape with prior senior level sales experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Customer Relationship:
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key executives, understanding their business objectives and ensuring our solutions align with their needs.
- Build strong executive relationships across multiple fields (CMO, CEO, COO, etc.).
- Serve as an escalated point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing strategic guidance, and proactively driving opportunities for account growth.
- Serve as external product consultant educating customers and agencies on product solutions and best practices.
- Account Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular business reviews and take a consultative, long-term approach to build productive relationships with customers, in collaboration with the sales team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and technical teams, to ensure seamless execution of account plans.
- Formulate and analyze customer data using a report card system to articulate customers ranking against similar successful advertisers.Â
- Revenue:
- Pitch revenue opportunities within existing accounts driving growth and expansion of share of wallet.Â
- Work closely with the sales team to drive success of new customers.
- Analyze account performance data to offer customers data-driven business insights and at the same time, use those insights to improve our account and advertising offerings
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with both customer goals and organizational objectives.
- Industry Expert/ Thought Leader:
- Articulate the MNTN story, unique value proposition and how MNTN’s solutions align with customer’s vision and solve customer’s business issues (e.g. return on investment of performance).
- Demonstrate industry expertise, thought leadership, grasp of the macro-economic adtech environment; and be a trusted advisor
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing insights and thought leadership to both internal customer supporting teams and customers.
You Will Have:
- Minimum 5 to 7+ years with consistent track record selling media or working in AdTech selling to mid-market customers.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, effectively partnering with other MNTN teams including Sales, Support, Engineering, Product & Marketing.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, advertising and CTV.
- Validated Sales Excellence and creative, problem-solving mindset.
