WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE
We require someone with experience and ability to take on the strategic leadership and development of the account, alongside playing an active project-running role within the team.
They'll be someone with experience leading senior client conversations, identifying, writing and proposing opportunities for growth, and challenging standards of work outputs internally with VP level and above. They'll also be an AD that is happy to project manage their own programmes, with minimal junior support, and get stuck into the detail supporting on other team members day to day challenges when needed.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
Assure excellence in creative output

  • Oversee campaign development with CCO
  • Challenging creative director on outputs from creative dept
  • Oversight across all projects big and small to sustain creative excellence
  • Liaise with Projects Leads on Global to keep close to creative intent of work
  • Challenging delivery for the strategic intent of the work
  • Raising with VP work relevant to wider markets - opportunity spotting for tms across accounts
  • Through relationships with Global Project Leads, bring directly to clients live or upcoming opportunities to steal and share.


Strategic partnering of clients

  • Proposing new work streams with robust reasoning
    • Sharing proposals with VP for input and approval, seeking guidance from strategy and creative leads where valuable
  • Seeking and applying strategy dept advice on live work and opportunities
  • Proposal writing and presenting on opportunities outside scope e.g. birthday parties
  • Monthly 121 with clients (with VP cc) to discuss Global insights, work shares, broader opportunities and gain insight into business context
  • Developing strong relationships quickly with internal McD's teams, including Legal, Social, BBB.


Connecting CA globally

  • Work sharing and knowledge sharing across market leads internal and client side e.g. bi-weekly meet with internal leads
  • Insight sharing and assessing application to CA market
  • Raising CA profile with global clients and teams


Team leadership and development

  • Training plan and document development for throughout H1 of each year to address development areas identified in EOY reviews
  • Talent development reporting internally
  • Strategic development focus e.g. taking team through report findings and driving conversation on such, encouraging reference in client conversations
  • Coaching on career development, ensuring all team members feel motivated by their current goals and next steps
  • Lead initiatives to improve on quality of team output, for example, introduction of improved kick off creative deck with CA market research included. Such initiatives will need to be led by example with a deck created to work from.
  • Process adjustments to support team in day to day e.g. changes of line management, managing internal people challenges


Internal management

  • Regular financial analysis of account performance with senior finance team, managing expectation on financial performance to senior leadership team.
  • Scope negotiations and approvals, including the writing of decks and justification


Project Management

  • Splitting the leading (actively participating, not oversight) of three biggest projects a year with SAM
  • Splitting oversight of core projects with SAM - where led by and AM but all work to move through SAM or AD for approval.
  • AD responsible for updating VP bi-weekly on creative developments.
  • Individually working on smaller project work streams to lead by example once familiar with process.
  • Responsible for the briefing, WIP management, resource management and finance management of projects allocated across the year.
  • Responsible for approving all kicking-off creative briefs.
