Account Director, Brand Communications, NY - Hybrid Work Structure
Job Description
The Role:
The Account Director of Brand will be responsible for leading several account teams with the day-to-day planning and execution of their public relations efforts. This includes daily strategic counsel, media relations strategy, influencer engagement, activation planning, and overall reporting. Candidate must be able to manage multiple brands and work with agency partners to support integrated earned campaigns for a major global brand in the CPG and Beauty and Health space. Responsibilities:
- Provide counsel, strategy and direction to a major brand in the CPG space.
- Build relationships with peers in industry and with other BCW lines of business.
- Productively provide ideas to clients to maximize communications results and/or anticipate issues.
- Bring an innovative, integrated and earned mindset to every aspect of the client's business.
- Ability to plan strategically at a global level and in conjunctions with multiple internal and external agency partners.
- Track record of growing accounts organically and participating in successful new business pitches and delivering presentations.
- Strong oral, writing and editing skills for both short and long form content.
- Ability to generate profitability for the business working in collaboration with finance and operations.
- Proven ability to effectively organize multiple deadlines and budgets across accounts and teams
- Advanced writing, editing and researching ability
- Motivate and develop staff demonstrating a commitment to inclusion and diversity.
Qualifications:
- A deep understanding of client business and communications issues, and the ability to deliver smart, effective solutions in a high-velocity environment to leadership stakeholders
- Plugged into culture, emerging trends and an insatiable desire to uncover insights that impact clients and their stakeholders
- Experience developing and implementing the execution of polycultural/ multicultural programs and initiatives to impact cultural leadership across the organization.
- Deep understanding of cultural insights and consumer trends research on diverse consumers.
- Excellent client counselor and integrated thinker with a point of view-- able to influence and persuade multiple audiences
- Experience with purpose, sustainability and multicultural and/or polycultural audiences and campaigns
- Strong project management and proven ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments and identify, secure and employ resources needed to achieve results
- 10+ years' experience in public relations and brand marketing
- Strong expertise with traditional and digital consumer media and digital strategy
- Fluent in Spanish
- Desire to work in a diverse and inclusive organization as an active participant in culture initiatives, training opportunities and employee resource groups
