POSITION PROFILE 

Current Global is seeking a freelance Account Director, Client Experience with expertise in consumer marketing, specifically working with blue chip food and beverage (including alcohol and spirits) brands. This person will be responsible for managing teams across several brands, collaborating with Current’s Insights, Content and Integrated Media teams to develop and execute strategic and creative client work. The Account Director will help lead work from concept to execution, be a primary client contact. The ideal candidate must have strong written and oral communications skills and be able to creatively formulate corporate and brand campaigns and narratives that resonate in today’s marketing environment.  

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Own responsibilities for executional leadership of multiple client programs, budgets, plans 
  • Maintain daily client contact, serving as a trusted resource and advisor 
  • Facilitate cross-functional team integration (strategy, creative, integrated media specialists)
  • Translate strategies into tactical plans; ensure team deliverables align with strategies
  • Develop messaging for clients and oversee the creation of media strategies that take an integrated approach to driving awareness with target audiences
  • Proactively support and suggest improvements and new ideas to exceed client expectations by leveraging industry knowledge and experience
  • Manage ongoing team resourcing/staffing to ensure successful delivery of work product
  • Contribute to the career growth of junior team members, serving as mentor and role model
  • Actively participate in agency development and assist with new business
  • Demonstrate financial acumen in the areas of budgeting, billing and staffing 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  • 7-9 years of experience 
  • Food and beverage (specifically, alcohol and spirits) communications experience 
  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree  

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS 

  • Strong decision-making skills  
  • Ability to translate client needs into workable plans/projects 
  • Confident presenter and persuasive speaker 
  • Team management; people development
  • Resourceful, entrepreneurial and inclusive 

 

NYC Salary range: $100/hr

Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
