The Account Director is responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of public relations accounts, ensuring strategic quality, client satisfaction, and team development. This role requires a seasoned PR professional with strong industry relationships, leadership and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage a book of business, including account service, strategic planning, execution, measurement, staffing, and administration. • Develop and oversee strategic public relations programs with clear objectives, goals, strategies, and tactics. • Serve as the lead client contact, fostering strong relationships and ensuring proactive, strategic development and execution of PR plans. • Create and manage comprehensive PR plans, including audience targeting, story development, media materials, media outreach, pitching, coordination, vendor management, and communication. • Lead engagement strategies for social media influencers as part of integrated campaigns to amplify client visibility and reach. • Manage, mentor and develop a team of four public relations professionals. • Serve as a trusted PR counselor and skilled conflict resolution manager. • Achieve revenue and profitability targets; manage time and budget allocations effectively. • Demonstrate strong leadership in delivering results, strategic planning, client relations, communication, staff development, and hiring. • Contribute to new business development through targeting, outreach, and acquisition efforts. • Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative concepts, strategies, and tactics. • Ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks. • Stay informed on trends and best practices in PR and influencer marketing. • Actively attend industry, community, and non-profit events to network, cultivate relationships, and identify new business opportunities. • Champion and promote KDC’s values and culture across teams. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field. • Proven expertise in: • PR Team Management • Media Relations & Strategic Counsel • Employee Mentoring & Coaching • Press Kit Development • Verbal & Written Communications • Event Management & Presentation Skills • Client & Vendor Relationship Management • Minimum of 8 years of agency/in-house PR experience.
