Hi, I'm Ellis, the USA Sales Director at Mention Me and I’m hiring our first USA-based Account Executive! Before I tell you more about the role, here's a little bit about Mention Me and what we do.
Becoming a Mentioneer means you’ll be joining our Referral Engineering® movement, which is changing the world of marketing.
Our data-driven referral marketing platform equips brands to drive growth through their fans by encouraging and rewarding personal recommendations.
There’s a good chance you’ve already come across us while online shopping from Puma, Michael Kors, ASOS, Ray Ban, or any other of the 450+ brands we work with.
We’ve delivered more than 5.5m referrals totalling $1.5bn in revenue for our clients.
Now, our mission to make all brands think advocacy-first is stepping up a gear, and you might be just who we need to help us.
The Role
Are you an experienced Account Executive who can build rapport quickly and establish trust?
We’ve built an award-winning MarTech product that adds real value to our customers, which you’ll be selling to new clients within the eCommerce space.
You'll report to Ellis, and will focus on closing deals specifically in the USA as we kick off our expansion. We are already the market leader in the UK and Europe and have begun to make a big dent into the USA market, but it's still early days. You'll be joining as our first Account Executive hire in the USA, as we open up our offices in Boston, and will be a key hire as we grow out the team. So there's a real opportunity to shape how we do things, joining at the very beginning of our exciting journey.
Ellis is a great example of the career progression available that is available at Mention Me, he originally joined in the SDR team, and now is a Sales Director.
You'll be in a sales environment where we celebrate our wins together, recognise people's hard work and support each other when needed too. What you'll do:
- You'll run and close deals and achieve or exceed monthly quota
- You'll meet or exceed monthly targets for qualified opportunities
- You'll work with the Partner Team and Ecosystem to drive business growth
- You'll develop in-depth knowledge of our product, and be able to highlight how these features can benefit prospects
- You'll explain and demonstrate Mention Me's awesome features, by performing demos and presenting business cases
- You'll prospect, qualify and develop sales opportunities via email, phone and LinkedIn
We'd really like to hear from you if:
- You have a track record of over-achieving targets for 3-5 years in a SaaS business
- You've got experience selling MarTech solutions
- You have carried a sales quota of $600k+ p/a
- You have consultative sales experience, having worked with sales cycles of 45 days+
- You bring enthusiasm, positivity, and are self-motivated
- You can handle objections and are a skilled negotiator

If we progress with your application, you’ll be invited to arrange a 30-minute call with Dom (our Talent Partner).
After the initial conversation, if it’s a good match both ways, you’ll be invited to meet with Ellis over a video call.
Following a successful first stage interview, you’ll be invited to the 2nd stage which is an in-person interview, where you'll meet Natalie (Head of Sales) and Ellis (USA Sales Director).
As a 3rd stage and final stage, you'll then meet with Stuart, our CRO.
