About the Account Executive Role

As a venture-backed startup, Take Command is building the team that will accelerate our growth. How do we plan to do that? By serving larger and more sophisticated clients. That’s where you come in. As an Account Executive (AE), you will play a key leadership role on the Growth team, helping us take our capabilities to the next level. AEs own the deal process for key growth opportunities, bringing our end-to-end solution to the most strategic client accounts. We are looking for someone with a proactive & positive personality who’s just as comfortable pitching a prospective client as they are designing solutions in excel.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver top-line growth for the business by taking the lead on new relationships with insurance brokers and their clients, guiding them through the design / sales process
  • Drive the “art of the sale” by evaluating whether our product will deliver on a client’s goals
  • Own the “science of the design” through data-driven analysis & in-depth knowledge
  • Oversee the growth pipeline and identify ways to increase efficacy and efficiency in our partnership strategy
  • Partner with brokers to educate prospective clients while identifying clients’ needs & goals
  • Build trust with key growth partners, developing and fostering long-term relationships
  • Serve as the “voice of the customer” internally, advocating & prioritizing improvements with our Product & Client Success Teams
  • Coordinate with the Client Success Team to ensure smooth program onboarding with new clients that you bring in
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Team to bring awareness of our services & value proposition to the broader industry – both prospective clients and their benefits advisors

Competencies & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of B2B sales or similar external facing professional experience for the AE level
  • A mix of strong technical & people skills; You’re just as comfortable leading meetings as you are crunching numbers in spreadsheets
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills. We’re solving a complex problem, and it takes patience and the ability to explain complex ideas in simple, understandable ways to make our clients feel comfortable and confident
  • Ability to provide leadership, confidence and empathy for our clients, their employees and our insurance broker partners as they navigate change in how they offer healthcare benefits
  • A love of process & organization, preferably using a CRM system to keep things straight
  • Readiness to bring the rigor of best practices to the team combined with the humility to learn about ICHRAs, QSEHRAs, and a lot of other long acronyms. We bring the industry expertise and need you to bring domain expertise (and be ready to collaborate)
  • No previous employee benefits or health insurance experience required
