We are a leading product development & ingredient supply partner supporting customers that range from entrepreneurs to top CPG and foodservice brands.

 

We are looking for a savvy and entrepreneurial Inside Sales Associate/Account Executive to join our sales team. If you are passionate about building your career in sales, customer service, sales support, project management or marketing, and looking to learn from and support a high performing team in a technical, recession-proof industry, this new role could be a great fit for you.

 

The primary objective of this role is to manage the assigned accounts. This involves responding to inbound requests from customers, managing pipeline within associated accounts, planning strategic outreach, ensuring effective participation of accounts in various marketing programs, and building relationships within accounts, Imbibe and our industry. This role will be responsible for their own pipeline.

After training and shadowing, this role will take over the responsibility of responding to inbound leads, organizing, and leading introduction calls with prospective clients, evaluating business fit, and transitioning the lead to the appropriate sales manager or declining the proposal with the client.

 

A high degree of professionalism (including at-home virtual meeting backgrounds), tact, and confidence is required. There will be many times where we must ask difficult questions, compensate for a lack of certainty, and make a recommendation based on business objectives.

 

Upward trajectory in this role is largely dependent on your long-term career goals. The right person in this role may use their experiences to move their career further into sales and become a business developer, pivot into a function that excites them such as marketing, project management, or becoming a subject matter expert and remain in this role.

 

Successful execution, good judgement in customer interactions, discernment of what business is healthy for Imbibe, and follow through on objectives is what good looks like in this position.

 

While this is a hybrid working style position, in-person collaboration is critical. Ability to be onsite is required, as a significant portion of training for this position will be in-office with hands-on exposure to the R&D facility and marketing.



Primary Responsibilities:

  • Under supervision, grow Imbibe business with designated accounts by managing top and bottom line
  • Cultivate and manage customer relationships within portfolio of accounts
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with customers, decision-makers and influencers
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver brief requirements and account plans
  • Monitor customer and competitor activity and maintain customer information
  • Develops basic Account Plans, incorporating comprehensive customer knowledge and analysis
  • Develop and deliver internal and customer presentations
  • Identify/create opportunities for Imbibe to participate in targeted briefs
  • Identify customer requirements and follow up on customer submission
  • Transition customer projects and new wins from scale-up to production
  • Follow KPIs versus targets (Sales, Gross Profit, win rate…) and take corrective actions if necessary
  • Negotiate pricing agreements within guidelines
  • Primary contact for inbound business inquiries
  • Take confident and creative action to close business through strong proposals, effective negotiating, and appropriate access to the right people regardless of gatekeepers.
  • Support wider organizational initiatives and represent the business development team

 

 

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and partner internally and externally across all levels of an organization
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and an interest in learning
  • Team player
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Ability to utilize CRM and project management systems (SalesForce & Wrike)
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms
