And now we are looking for a Business Development Representative, AI Apps role to join our rapidly growing AI Apps Commercial team. This role will focus on creating and expanding our global client relationships with some of the world’s leading biopharmaceutical and medical device companies.
The Business Development Representative, AI Apps role is responsible for identifying high potential customers and opening partnerships discussions with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device clients to support them in advancing their research, clinical and/or commercial programs.  Business Development Representative, AI Apps will work cross-functionally with Tempus stakeholders to establish Tempus as the AI enabled Precision Medicine partner with life sciences customers.Â
Responsibilities
- Identify high potential customers based on alignment with Tempus offerings and commercial strategy
- Conduct outreach to executives at life sciences companies to open partnering discussions
- Manage sales opportunity pipeline from lead generation through contract execution
- Develop and deliver presentations with senior leaders at potential partners to identify customer needs, present Tempus’ capabilities and develop a joint visions of success
- Support refinement of Tempus offerings, commercial strategy and partnership models based on customer needs, Tempus capabilities and market dynamics
- Collect and share customer feedback with cross functional teams at Tempus to inform product development
Qualifications
- Entrepreneurial sales approach that thrives in a high growth, rapidly evolving business environment
- The ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple and compelling way to customers and to internal teams
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority (both with internal and external stakeholders)
- Proactive mindset that bridges ideas to implementable solutions, and can help move both internal and external stakeholders to quickly solve problems
- Collaborative team member who is eager to work closely with Tempus team members, both within and outside the AI Apps commercial team
- Eagerness and ability to learn scientific and technical concepts quickly
Experience
- 2+ years in Business Development or Sales role, ideally focused on Life Sciences companiesÂ
- Knowledge of the drug development process, real world data, AI and/or clinical workflow solutions is preferred
- Exposure to the development and execution of large and complex multi-year deals
