Job Description
Zest is hiring for an Account Executive for the eastern United States to help us drive increased sales through our next phase of growth. The Account Executive will have overall responsibility for selling new logos in our targeted addressable market (credit unions, banks, and specialty lenders) in the eastern sales region. As Zest is SaaS-enabled, this professional does not need to live in a particular location, though they must live in a central U.S. state (New Mexico to Montana to Ohio to Alabama) in order to have convenient access to their geographic market.
In this role you will:
- Identify and drive territory / account sales plans for assigned geographic territory and then meet and exceed sales goals through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities
- Meet prospective clients at conferences, industry trade shows, and their offices to advance opportunity pursuits
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with eastern U.S. sales team (Regional Sales Manager, Account Executives, and Sales Development Representative) ensuring that territory and opportunity strategy are communicated and easily understood by support team
- Lead the entire sales cycle while building consensus within an account to facilitate a net new sale
- Execute - and lead others to execute - flawlessly in conditions of uncertainty as Zest grows
We are looking for:
- 2 years of experience in a corporate sales role or selling a SaaS solution, or significant financial services industry experience, with consumer lending experience being ideal
- Ability to travel (domestically) up to 30% of the time, with convenient access to a major airport, reliable internet connection, and a dedicated home office
- Live in an East Coast state, in order to have access to geographic market
- A bachelor’s degree, majoring in finance or technology is ideal; an advanced degree is a plus
Ideal/Preferred:
- Prior experience selling SaaS solutions to banks, credit unions, and specialty lenders
- Experience using a CRM for prospecting, forecasting, and reporting
- Solid background in business strategy, relationship building, and communication at the executive level
- Proficient in negotiation and understanding contract terms and conditions
- Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid solutions
- A bias to action, collaboration, and working cross-functionally
- Strong negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience in consumer or commercial lending at a senior level
