Job Description
Insider Intelligence is hiring an Account Executive to join our corporate new business sales team.

Account Executives are responsible for strategically working an assigned territory to identify, engage and win new clients in order to position and sell Insider Intelligence's syndicated, subscription-based research offering. Your territory will be composed of the world’s largest consumer brands, technology companies and media organizations. Account Executives engage with mid to senior-level executives to diagnose needs and connect the dots between those needs and the research, data, and forecasts we produce. The ultimate goal is to bring on as many new clients as possible and to achieve your annual bookings target. You will report to the AVP of New Business and work closely with your peers to achieve your goals.

You understand sales is both art and science, and clearly can articulate their version of the “science of sales”.
- A strategic problem solver and negotiator who is intellectually curious, knows the right questions to ask and how to uncover business challenges at all levels of an organization, understands prospective clients’ needs, and always figures out a way to bring them on board as a new client.
- A confident communicator who understands how to effectively tailor messaging and articulate value, be it in person, on the phone, through video or over email. You have an affinity for navigating strategic, consultative conversations and can hold your ground with leading business professionals. Have the skills necessary to explain complex marketing, advertising & ecommerce data and concepts to any audience. A storyteller with the ability to communicate present and future value to folks at all levels within an organization.
- An experienced seller who has previous experience owning a book of new business, ideally selling into Enterprise or Mid-Market clients. Have a strong track record of success in a SaaS or non-SaaS sales environment and can clearly communicate a drive to understand our customers and sales cycle.
- A hard-worker who possesses a ‘never give up’ attitude. We have a highly motivated team and a winning culture. We look for people who possess a natural tenacity and desire to succeed.
- A diligent prospector who is constantly working to drive pipeline through their own efforts, in addition to the support of our Marketing team.
- A coachable spirit with an openness to feedback and desire for constant improvement is key to success here.
Key Responsibilities:
- Successfully achieve your quarterly and annual bookings quota
- Research potential accounts and ideal buyers in your territory and actively engage them with multi-channel prospecting activity in order to ensure consistent pipeline quality, quantity, and velocity
- Leverage our sales process and consultative selling methodology to continually qualify opportunities, progress them through your pipeline and ultimately win them
- Anticipate and address customer objections, seeking to resolve concerns and drive win/win outcomes
- Track all activity in Salesforce; consistently keep contact and opportunity records up to date to deliver predictable forecasting to the sales leadership team
- Forecast accurately and develop the necessary pipeline to meet/exceed quota.
- Take ownership of the end-end sales processes in your territory, targeting folks in marketing, advertising, ecommerce, consumer insights, strategy/innovation and market research.
- Close deals by researching opportunities, prospecting, initiating discussions, building relationships, and conducting discovery calls and demos. This is an end-to-end new business sales role and no task is too small or too large.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven track record of successful quota achievement in a new business sales position
- Experience selling subscription-based research or SaaS solutions is highly desirable given the nature of our products and services
- B2B full-cycle sales experience, selling to business leaders in the marketing, advertising, financial services, CPG, and technology landscapes is highly desirable
- Proven success achieving/overachieving pipeline and bookings goals and metrics equivalent to ours
Salary and Benefits:
- Base salary: $80,000-$100,000 (dependent on skills & experience)
- Additional commission plan
