General Summary:

Reporting to the VP, Global Investment Accounts - Technology Solutions, the Advarra, Global Investment Accounts Account Executive "AE-Investment Accounts" will spearhead commercial activities with our customer touchpoints (business development, sales (including in-house), and marketing) across the organization's Technology Solutions vertical to include collaboration with Sponsor/CRO and Site development teams. The focus of this group will enhance and drive our footprint for Research Site technology globally & Pharma/CRO enabling technology, combining with our business development teams to sell our strategy and vision globally.

The AE-Investment Accounts will accelerate the organization's growth leveraging existing and future technology innovations, corporate branding, and strategies working together with IRB Services, Corporate Marketing, Technology, and Finance. The AE-Investment Accounts will leverage the existing talents and assets within the company and will collaborate with other development professionals who will target our largest customers within the Life Sciences and Sites arena globally. These positions will work closely with their counterparts within the Research Services organization in targeted efforts to secure multi-year, multi-service, and product relationships. This role will be responsible to maximize customer results, drive shareholder value, and accelerate the organization's growth.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a consultative sales process to identify, qualify and secure new clients across life sciences organization, academic medical centers, cancer centers, and health systems
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills to establish credibility and trust within the market segments
  • Build a sales pipeline through lead generation activities, assisted by inbound marketing efforts and comply with customer relationship management requirements
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process for all opportunities across Advarra products and services including initial client communication, web-based and onsite presentations, contract negotiations and closure
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Work collaboratively with the integrated sales, sales development, and marketing teams
  • Work in close collaboration with internal teams such as research services, product development, project management, and product support
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Equivalent work experience will be considered


Experience:

  • Healthcare and/or clinical research experience highly preferred
  • Enterprise software experience preferred
  • 3-5 years' experience in direct sales, account management or business development experience preferred

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication to establish rapport, credibility, and trust in the market segments
  • Strong communication skills, including listening, writing, and speaking
  • Ability to present information in a confident and concise manner
  • Must be self-motivated, capable of multi-tasking and attentive to details
  • Demonstrated ability to use a consultative sales approach
  • Ability to quickly grasp prospective customer's business objectives and align them with the appropriate Advarra solutions
  • Ability to maintain strong sales management focus during sales cycles
  • Demonstrated analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to various customer and conference locations
  • Must have SFDC experience and be adept using Microsoft Office products


Physical and Mental Requirements:
