Account Executive II – ReadyAPI

Supporting REST SOAP GraphQL and other modern API technologies ReadyAPI helps organizations automate functional performance and security testing across the software development lifecycle.

About the role

As an Account Executive II you will:

  • Develop net new business relationships through inbound leads outbound prospecting and strategic account outreach.
  • Drive expansion opportunities within existing accounts by increasing adoption of ReadyAPI across engineering QA and DevOps organizations.
  • Consult with customers on API testing strategies automation initiatives and digital transformation efforts to position SmartBear solutions effectively.
  • Manage a mix of transactional and enterprise sales opportunities across a defined territory.
  • Build trusted relationships with technical stakeholders managers and executive decision-makers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Engineering Customer Success Marketing and Product teams to drive customer success and revenue growth.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting within Salesforce and related sales tools.
  • Receive ongoing enablement coaching and professional development to accelerate career growth and long-term sales success.

We are looking for you if you have:

  • 1–3 years of software sales experience preferably selling into technical organizations or developer-focused environments.
  • Experience carrying a quota and consistently achieving KPIs or revenue targets.
  • Strong communication discovery and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.
  • A self-starter mindset with strong accountability and time management skills.
  • Interest in API technologies software testing DevOps or developer tooling.
  • Experience using sales tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator ZoomInfo Salesforce Outreach or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.

Your SmartBear total rewards compensation package includes base salary and may also include a commission. The Annual Cash Compensation (Base + On-Target Commission) range for this role is listed below. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors including relevant experience skills internal equity and geographic location.
