The Role
Job Summary & Responsibilities:
The Account Executive of Integrated Sales (full-time, salaried, regular) will manage the year long, monthly and daily strategic sales strategy, revenue and goal achievement on behalf of the MotorTrend Group specific, but not limited to near/non-endemic and general market accounts
Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Cultivate and maintain an active base of accounts, providing marketing suggestions and beneficial solutions to meet client needs.
- Create new relationships in key advertising categories (included but not limited to oil, tires, insurance, men’s products, travel, tourism & finance) and proactively identify new potential customers to significantly, and aggressively, grow the business.
- Be able to articulate and sell the overall MotorTrend Group properties as both individual units, as well as 360 integrated marketing programs including (Print, Digital, Social, Video, Events, Programmatic, Data, etc.)
- Generate revenue through advertising sales, renewal and existing business
- Work directly with MTG Marketing to develop category, brand specific or custom solutions achieving the goals and objectives of General Market clients.
- Develop a growth plan for each account that includes in person visitation/sales calls as approved by the Director, National Ad Sales
- Translate and manage approved MTG strategies and products into sales programs incorporating an aggressive, systematic plan for approaching new business clients.
- The ability to negotiate and close the complex deals.
- Manage and execute all RFPs
- Prospect for new business targeting potential advertisers to acquire new accounts
- Plan, organize and lead activities and entertainment focused on establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with key decision markers at Client and Agencies.
- Participate in trade show, special events and other promotional programs that may require travel
- Partner with Sales Management on special projects, sales planning and sales budget and forecasting
- Work with Account Manager as point of contact responsible for providing execution status for assigned advertising campaigns
- Work responsibly and maintain productive working relationships with multiple internal teams (brand general managers, engineering, web development, social media, product, ad operations, billing, etc.) to facilitate execution of advertising campaigns.
- Assist Account Manager with the management of client expectations throughout the life of a campaign.
- Work with the Account Manager and Advertising Operations team to oversee the ongoing tracking and optimizations of advertising campaigns.
- Assist Media Planning, Campaign Management, and Account Management teams in strategic analysis of completed campaigns and provide recommendations for future campaigns.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position will not include supervising one or more employees where applicable.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Communication, related field required.
- 5-7 years of Automotive Marketing, Advertising, or Media related fields.
- 3-5 years of Advertising Sales (Digital, Social, Video, Events, Print, Programmatic, Data)
- Prior experience with cross-channel media campaigns preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the digital market, advertising community, customer requirements and how media is bought/sold
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment:
- Work is performed in an office environment that is well lit and ventilated.
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in California. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of MotorTrend's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $95,000.00 - $150,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, MotorTrend provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
