Job Description

Lockton is currently seeking an Account Executive to join our Private Equity Practice. The Account Executive is responsible for the servicing and marketing needs of Lockton clients under the general guidance of the unit manager and in accordance with Lockton procedures. Position may be responsible for limited number of direct reports consisting of account managers and/or senior account specialists.

Responsibilities
  • Client renewals
  • Schedule and lead client meetings.
  • Contact incumbent markets for renewal expectations.
  • Prepare and coordinate all client deliverables.
  • Create/update submission workbook.
  • Update submission workbook with requested coverages/limits.
  • Send submissions to the market.
  • Review and negotiate program for coverage adequacy.
  • Prepare proposal documents (client deliverable).
  • Schedule renewal presentation date.
  • Present renewal to client.
  • Bind coverage/confirm bound with client.
  • Update proposal documents.
  • Update action item list at binding stage.
  • Send post-renewal recap email to Producer and team.

Additional Focuses:
  • Provide thought leadership regarding insurance strategies on new and existing business.
  • Provide strategic planning and consulting advice to clients, prospects, and team members for assigned accounts.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of products available in the market.
  • Participate in formal presentations to prospective clients and insurance vendors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and Associates.
  • Be a positive influence of the Lockton brand in the office and community.
  • Assist team members with developing communication and brokering skills.


Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7+ years of industry experience.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Commercial Property/Casualty coverages and services.
  • Current resident-state P&C insurance license, or ability obtain same immediately.
  • Substantial experience in marketing and servicing the insurance needs of commercial accounts.
  • Demonstrate ability to instill confidence and comfort with clients so client looks to you and to Lockton as more than just and insurance broker, but a partner in business.
  • Ability to understand the concept, issues, and overall impact of marketing pricing.
  • Willingness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in insurance industry by successful completion of extended insurance education beyond continuing education requirements for licensing.
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or similar software applications.
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision-making.
  • Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to consult clients on other Lockton services and insurance needs.
  • Personal presence to interface with top management of other businesses, representing Lockton in the highest professional manner.
  • Ability and willingness to proactively coach and mentor other Associates.
  • Ability to provide clear direction and act as leader of account team.
  • Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft, and stay for more than one day and night.
