Team: Account Executive

This role is responsible for driving new business in the Public Sector, proactively identifying and engaging federal, state, and local government customers. You will educate prospects on innovative data science solutions, manage complex sales cycles, and leverage a combination of direct outreach and partner channels to expand market presence. The role requires strategic planning to build territories from the ground up, as well as technical fluency to communicate effectively about analytics and open-source platforms. Collaboration with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, is essential to deliver a seamless experience for government clients. Success in this position is measured by revenue growth, pipeline development, and strong customer relationships across multiple stakeholders.
Accountabilities:
Identify, engage, and close net-new Public Sector opportunities across federal, state, and local levels, including international clients.Educate the market on the value of professional data science tools and solutions.Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and long lead times.Build and map territories strategically while maintaining a strong pipeline of prospects.Utilize existing leads from events, inbound inquiries, and open-source users to accelerate growth.Maintain accurate sales records and forecasts using CRM tools such as Salesforce.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer onboarding, product delivery, and marketing initiatives.Requirements:
Significant B2B software sales experience, ideally with Public Sector clients.Demonstrated track record selling to government entities, with knowledge of RFQ/RFP processes, acquisition regulations, and contract mechanisms.Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles in large agencies or organizations.Comfortable working with channel partners, resellers, and VARs focused on government markets.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical products to non-technical stakeholders.Self-motivated, high integrity, adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel as required to support sales efforts.Bonus: familiarity with analytics, data science, R, Python, or open-source platforms.Benefits:
