Account Management Intern

Position Summary
In the Account Manager Intern role, you will work closely with the SAE's, BDM's, ASM's and customers to help grow and service both existing and new customers. Your responsibilities include capturing the attention of and presenting our value proposition to B2B buyers, nurturing interest in our solutions and progressing through a disciplined sales process. The position requires gaining a thorough understanding of our products and services, our target customers and competitive alternative technology.
This position reports to the Senior Manager of Inside Sales and Direct Accounts.
According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:
- Non-Exempt
What You'll Be Doing
- Initiate sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new account, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations
- Connect with potential customers from leads to facilitate sales
- Work closely with Applications Engineers to solve customer inquiries through email, phone calls and online meetings
- Receive and follow up on customer request, inquiries and complaints
- Build rapport and relationships with existing direct customers by being their "one point of contact"
- Coordinate the sales order process throughout the life of the order
- Work closely with Credit, Accounts Receivable, Operations, Shipping, IT, Engineering, Sales, and Purchasing to ensure all customer's needs are met
- Assist in credit, billing questions and aged receivables

Required
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization from factory control engineer up through the executive level
- Ability to manage sales metrics, reporting, and forecasting
- Excellent customer communication and the ability to quickly establish relationships
- Highly motivated with an overarching desire to service the customer in all areas.
- Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Customer service experience
- Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and the Internet
