About the Team:
Account managers (AMs) are responsible for Yahoo advertiser satisfaction and revenue growth. AMs serve as the primary advertiser point-of-contact for all post-sale campaign-related inquiries from start to finish of campaign lifecycle and partner with their day-to-day account team (Account Executive, Account Strategist & Ad Ops Specialist) and other internal teams to ensure we exceed client expectations, drive renewal, and protect and grow revenue across all advertising products for Yahoo.
About the Role:
Throughout the summer, each intern will have a direct manager as well as an Account Management mentor. The goals for each successful candidate will be to enhance skills in marketing strategy, digital advertising solutions and campaign management, data analysis, Yahoo products & systems, communication, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with Account Managers and collaborate with cross-functional partners at Yahoo to provide best-in-class client service and revenue retention/growth across Yahoo's advertising offerings
  • Work collaboratively to complete in-depth strategic client analysis, and present final recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects such as development of best practices, scalable reporting and analysis, competitive and industry-specific insights
  • Attend and present in team meetings
  • Meet regularly with mentor(s)
  • Demonstrate professionalism and help the team find ways to think outside the box on various topics
  • Complete a final 'capstone' presentation demonstrating key takeaways and learnings from the AM internship experience

Qualifications:
  • Working towards a BA or Masters in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, or a related field at an accredited college or university
  • Strong desire to understand digital marketing, best practices of campaign management, and strives to stay up-to-date on cutting edge industry trends.
  • Ability to solve problems and identify opportunities through the use of analytics, and critical thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to "think on your feet"
  • Ability to function equally well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Google Docs Suite, including Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides.

The compensation for this position ranges from $45,760.00 - $135,200.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program. Yahoo has a high degree of flexibility around employee location and hybrid working. In fact, our flexible-hybrid approach to work is one of the things our employees rave about.
