Job Description
We are looking for a talented individual
To join our team as an Account Manager! This role will be based in the Bay Area region, working remotely or out of CLEAResult's Oakland office. You'll support the industrial, commercial and agricultural team focusing on energy efficiency opportunities in northern California. You'll become the customer's trusted energy advisor by recruiting, managing, and executing energy efficiency projects for customers. This role is accountable for achieving specific energy efficiency and revenue goals for CLEAResult's current program and for the company's long-term strategy.

Account Management and Outreach
- Proactively develop, manage and expand relationships with industrial and agricultural customers, facilities managers, vendors, contractors, and client representative to drive kWh, kW, and therm projects.
- Re-establish and drive new relationships with end-use customers through many tactics including visiting customer sites, setting up regular meetings, working with client representatives, mining past engagement and participation data and working with vendors.
- Contribute toward program strategy for achieving energy savings goals, program success, and customer and client satisfaction.
- Lead and develop creative campaigns and account strategies to achieve program energy savings objectives and scope relevant tasks or outreach campaigns.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, client staff, customers, vendors, contractors, and internal cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, marketing, Program Management, etc.) to provide technical and operational consultation on program services and incentives and ensure program success.
- Effectively communicate program, process and documentation requirements to customers and vendors.
Project identification and Tracking
- Perform initial customer screening to determine whether candidate buildings are eligible for the program.
- Coordinate with customers, clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure that projects are progressing and completing on schedule and notify management staff of any project setbacks early with proposed solutions.
- Work with Energy Engineer's (EE) support to collect necessary process data for energy savings calculations and evaluations including documenting program influence.
- Work alongside Energy Engineers that are assigned to determine savings for the proposed project which may include acquiring necessary meters and tracking meter deployments.
- Keep customers and stakeholders well informed of application progress and next steps.
Industry and Policy Expertise
- Track and understand program eligibility and policy requirements to ensure compliance.
- Build knowledge of market-sector related technologies and processes.
Leverage extensive network of industry contacts and connections across more than one market sector.

- 5+ years relevant industry experience. Relevant industry certifications could replace work experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Relevant industry certifications could replace work experience
- Account management and/or technical outside sales experience required.
- Around 25% travel throughout Northern California is expected and a valid driver's license is required.
- Experience working with energy efficiency rebate and incentive programs.
- Extensive demonstrated success in working independently and remotely.
Experience in energy efficiency, strategic energy management, an understanding of industrial and agricultural processes and markets, and/or applicable technologies is preferred.
- Field experience conducting simple energy assessments or screenings are a plus.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED AP or other similar certifications are a plus.
Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000
Compensation Range
$73,800.00 - $110,700.00
