The team you'll be part of

The Customer Experience organization provides a common interface to customers including account and relationship management, acting as the voice of the customer internally and creating demand across our business groups. While bringing deep understanding of local markets for our customer, the CX organization ensures strong alignment between sales and delivery teams.

We are looking for an IP/Router Account Manager position within the Verizon sales team. As an Account Manager, you will be accountable for new sales growth and managing the customer relationship for one of Nokia's strategic accounts for its Network Infrastructure business. You should possess experience selling router and services to service providers. You should also be an aggressive self-starter and have strong consultative selling and relationship skills.

What you will learn and contribute to

As part of our team, you will:
  • Be responsible for new sales growth of Nokia IP/Router solutions and services to all Verizon entities - Wireline, Business and Wireless segments.
  • Build and retain position as thought-leader and trusted advisor in account.
  • Present proactive solutions and recommendations to customer, management, and/or partners that can benefit customer's needs.
  • Apply knowledge of customer's business, advanced principles, theories, and concepts to achieve objectives in creative and effective ways.
  • Provide clear business insight and market knowledge to drive solutions to meet customer's business objectives.
  • This is a very high profile position on the account team and with Verizon.


Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years' experience in sales, business development, and/or sales engineer within the telecom industry.
  • Experience in consultative selling of IP/router solutions with the ability to anticipate and identify business needs, develop recommendations and solutions.

It would be nice if you also had:
  • Verizon specific experience
  • Proven success in quota attainment, strategic account planning, forecasting.
  • Knowledge of Nokia IP networking solutions.
  • Experience working with or selling network infrastructure to top tier service provider and replacing incumbents.
  • Experience in IP networking (and familiar w/ optical solutions is a plus)
  • Proficient business acumen in planning and organizing, information integration, decision-making and ability to achieve results while focusing on customer requirements and business success
