Job Description

Who are we and why should you join us?

BetterHelp is on a mission to remove the traditional barriers to therapy and make mental health care more accessible to everyone. Founded in 2013, we are now the world's largest online therapy service - providing affordable and convenient therapy in 210 countries and over 60 languages across the globe. Our network of over 30,000 licensed therapists has helped millions of people take ownership of their mental health and change their lives forever. And we're not stopping there - as the unmet need for mental health services continues to grow, BetterHelp is committed to being part of the solution.

As an Account Manager at BetterHelp, you'll join a diverse team of licensed clinicians, engineers, product pros, creatives, marketers, and business leaders who share a passion for expanding access to therapy. And as a mental health company, we take employee mental health just as seriously as we do our mission. We seriously invest in our team's well-being and professional development, because we know that business and individual growth go hand-in-hand.

At BetterHelp, you'll carve your own path, make an immediate impact, and be challenged every day - with a supportive community behind you the whole way.

What are we looking for?

BetterHelp is looking for an Account Manager to join our growing Platform Services team. This person will own the partner operations and will support accounts onboarding and ongoing management. This includes accounts start-to-end setup and ongoing operational support, as well as partner marketing operations support.

The Platform Services team is responsible for all aspects of therapist engagement and experience with BetterHelp's platform. From recruiting and onboarding new therapists to providing meaningful therapy to clients. We currently have over 30,000 licensed therapists on our platform and are growing. The account manager will have an instrumental role in supporting BetterHelp's growth.

Ideally, you are self-motivated and driven. You are also highly organized, detail oriented and meticulous about your work. An ideal candidate is not only passionate about partner success and executing on tasks at hand, but also about further developing operational efficiencies, optimizing processes and stepping forward to take ownership of accounts management. A great fit would be someone who's collaborative and enjoys cross-functional teamwork. If you are a creative multi-tasker with an analytical mind-set, who is also comfortable working in a faced-paced environment and can pivot quickly, we'd love to speak with you!

What will you do?

  • Lead end-to-end operational accounts management, from onboarding and setup, through program implementation and technical execution, to accounting and payments.
  • Assist the team in establishing impactful and successful partnerships and in developing and fostering beneficial relationships, collaborating internally and facing partners directly.
  • As you develop in this role, you'd own and manage accounts and would be responsible for contributing to achieving the team's performance goals.
  • Continually seek ways to improve partner success and processes.
  • Develop new tools and processes to help the partners grow successfully.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify new opportunities and new partners.
  • Assist the team in ad-hoc special projects and special collaborations.

What will you NOT do?

  • You will NOT worry about "runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". We have the startup DNA but we're fully backed and funded, all the way to success.
  • You will NOT be confined to your "job". You will get involved in product, marketing, business strategy, and almost everything we do.
  • You will NOT be bogged down by office politics, ego, or bad attitude. Only positive, pleasure-to-work-with people are allowed here!
  • You will NOT get yourself burned out. We work hard but we believe in maintaining a sustainable work/life balance. Really

Can I work remotely?

Requirements

  • 2-3+ Years of experience in Accounts Management implementation and execution, dealing directly with partners as well as with internal teams.
  • A multi-tasker, who works well in a fast-paced environment and can adapt and pivot quickly, with strong project management expertise and outstanding time management and prioritization skills.
  • Great written/verbal communication and interpersonal skill sets, able to connect with all management levels, internally and partner-facing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset and able to draw insights and actions from data and reports.
  • Proficient in excel.
  • Quick to adapt and learn new management and optimization systems, or previous experience with such platforms, including affiliate network platforms, Salesforce, Looker, etc.

Benefits

  • Excellent health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401k benefits with employer matching contribution
  • Unrivaled perks program (including free therapy, UberEats, and more)
  • Remote work with regular in-person bonding experiences sponsored by the company
  • Office in the heart of downtown Mountain View, a three-minute walk from Caltrain
  • Commuter benefits, FSA accounts, and Employee Stock Purchase Programs
  • The chance to build something that changes lives - and that people love
  • Any piece of hardware or software that will make you happy and productive
  • An awesome community of co-workers
