Account Manager
Job Description
In order to be successful in this role, candidates must be located in the United States due to a minimum of 20% travel to customer sites.
Role and Responsibilities
- Regular communications with the customer's executive and leadership team, including Quarterly Business Reviews
- Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure alignment, awareness, and successful delivery of contracted services
- Responsible for the annual contractual negotiations and renewals as well as net new revenue generation
- Building a pipeline of Cross-sell, Up-sell, and Expansion opportunities, and successfully closing such opportunities to drive revenue and maximize profits in accordance with personal quota as well as company revenue targets
- In alignment and partnership with the CSM teams, drive 95% Customer Retention
- Generate awareness of and drive participation in the various Client Programs, such as User Groups, User Conferences, monthly webinars, etc.
- Working with the appropriate Datex organizations, the Account Manager will assist with ensuring the timely payment of all contractually owed payments from the customers
- Maintain the CRM system records for all assigned accounts
- Support Sales, marketing and CSM teams with the Reference process as requested/required from their assigned customers
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and/or at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Updated job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- 3-5 years' experience in Account Management, Sales, or Business Development
- 3-5 years' experience with a Saas, Software or Technology company
- 3-5 years' experience within the WMS, Supply Chain and/or Logistics industry preferred
- Previous Quota carrying and achievement experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Time management and multitasking skills to handle multiple tasks and clients at once
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts at a time while paying strict attention to detail
