Job Description

Under the direction of the Account Executive: the Account Manager is responsible for the overall account management of his or her assigned customer base. Specifically, account managers assist with establishing and maintaining the business relationship between customers and Generation Esports, while striving to ensure that all company goals and objectives are achieved. Account managers will assist their Account Executive by providing customers information about our products and services (including the GenE Platform and Gaming Concepts courses), educating on scholastic K-12 esports programs, addressing client questions, leading professional learning onboarding sessions, qualifying leads, processing paperwork and providing deliverables, developing and implementing initiatives which increase client engagement and retention, as well as other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate is one with a background in education, has knowledge of esports and gaming, has excellent communication and presentation skills, is patient with clients and is detail-oriented.

Requirements

What you will do:

  • Communicate with clients over email, phone call, and video conference
  • Converting Marketing Qualified Leads into Sales Qualified Leads
  • Act upon low-value Sales Qualified Leads as determined by the Account Executive
  • Assist Account Executive with competition account renewals - up to and including taking the lead on closing the renewal
  • Assist Account Executive with prospecting, communications/outreach, proposals, RFPs, and CRM management
  • Process vendor paperwork, POs, and draft invoices
  • Follow up and communicate with customers regarding overdue accounts
  • Lead professional learning onboarding for our Gaming Concepts courses, Learning Management System (LMS), and our competition offerings. Provide client support as necessary.
  • Order printed and digital deliverables and communicate with customers for delivery
  • Manage financial and accounting processes for customer districts including vendor registration, updates, and district specific requirements
  • Periodic outreach to keep a relationship with clients
  • Provide troubleshooting advice and creative solutions to clients' issues

Requirements

  • Strong communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Tech-savvy
  • Detail-oriented
  • Available to meet with clients from 8-5 Eastern Time
  • Spend up to 15% time traveling
  • Must be able to work up to 10% outside normal business hours
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds and able to stand for up to one hour

Preferred

  • CRM experience, especially Hubspot
  • Familiarity with popular North American esports
  • Education background
  • Bachelors in Education, Business, or related field
