Are you looking to take your specialist expertise and technical knowledge to the next level? This is the challenge you have been looking for; we are currently seeking a sales professional who can sell our products and services to customers in an assigned territory, industry, or account. The primary focus of this role will be on outbound field sales activities.

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for increasing Agilent's market share in the assigned geography for Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry, along with related consumables and service products. You will be the face of Agilent as you work to build customer relationships during the sales process. This is a critical sales role that requires expertise and technical knowledge of the Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis industries in the territory.

In this role, you will be required to qualify for opportunities, propose effective solutions, and support the long-term goals of our customers. You will also need to create and implement a territory development plan that will result in sales growth outpacing our competitors working in the same geography.

This position will be responsible for the assigned geography in Eastern WA and academic accounts in WA and OR. If you are looking to take your sales career to the next level and have the required expertise and technical knowledge, then we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!

This is a remote position with the ideal candidate being based in Eastern WA or Western OR. Overnight travel of 50% is required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing customer relationships and maintaining their satisfaction
  • Provides prompt response to all customer requests
  • Proactively prospects for new customers and new opportunities
  • Achieves all sales targets around quota and sales forecasts
  • Works collaboratively with our PS (Product specialist), CSD (Consumables) and SSD (Service) teams
  • Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity
  • Must be able to proactively drive the sales cycle and forecast sales accurately in a 30-60-90 day sales window
  • Provides rigor around CRM updates, expense reporting and other required business reporting

Qualifications

  • 2+ years relevant experience in sales, or equivalent experience in a business environment
  • Familiarity and technical experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry
  • BA or BS from an accredited University within Business or a Science related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong business development and sales closing skills
  • Demonstrate proactive approach, team spirit and eagerness to build your sales knowledge for your success
  • Ability to interface at all levels within an organization for both internal/external customers
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly motivated, with excellent self-management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work within a team selling environment to achieve territory sales goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience working with customer purchasing teams to manage effective contract negotiations preferred

Travel: Must be able to overnight travel up to 50% of the time

The US pay range for this full-time position is $110,250.00 - $183,750.00/yr, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new hire pay for the position across the relevant US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
