The Account Manager is one of the most critical roles at ShopBack. You are integral in bringing the best promotions to users, whilst ensuring that we are fulfilling the needs of our partners as well. In this role, you will be responsible for the growing of key merchants accounts in Germany. 


Note: This role is based in Berlin, Germany.

Your Adventure Ahead

  • To be part of a team in driving our business growth efforts.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and grow key merchant partners that would support the company’s business plan and goals. 
  • Conduct market and potential clients’ research for our target category and establish a long-term positive relationship with merchant partners.
  • Develop ideas for merchant campaigns, managing campaigns process and execution.
  • Research and explore new business and market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to decide go-to-market strategy and execution plans to reach company goals.

  • Identifikation, Qualifizierung und Bearbeitung von Leads bis zum Abschluss
  • Pflege und Ausbau langfristiger Kundenbeziehungen, regelmäßiger Kontakt und Erkennung von Kundenbedürfnissen
  • Vertretung der ShopBack Deutschland bei potenziellen Partnern und Beratung von Kunden zu unseren Cashback- und E-Commerce-Lösungen
  • Ansprechpartner für Kunden und Teamkollegen, enge Zusammenarbeit mit funktionsübergreifenden Teams, um die Go-to-Market-Strategie umzusetzen
  • Erstellung von maßgeschneiderten Angeboten und Konzepten für innovative Kampagnen, die den Geschäftserfolg steigern
  • Unterstützung im Presales, einschließlich Systemdesign, Konfiguration und technischer Abklärungen

Essentials to Succeed

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in sales and account management – Having eCommerce background in Marketplaces, Fashion and Travel would be a strong advantage 
  • Fluent in German and English in order to converse effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven experience in sales/business development/account management 
  • Exhibit strong awareness of consumer trends in e-commerce with an ability to ideate and execute campaigns to drive growth for the business
  • Solution selling: Account growth. Always be looking for new ways to develop, grow and broaden the relationship with the clients.
  • Able to think out of the box in conceptualizing ideas for merchant acquisition and management – creativity and logical thinking would be key!
  • Self-motivated and driven to excel and deliver.
  • Must be comfortable with C-level negotiations and have relationships with top decision makers.

  • Dein Profil

  • Mindestens 2-3 Jahre Erfahrung im Vertrieb und Account Management – Erfahrung im eCommerce, in Marktplätzen, Mode oder Reisen ist von Vorteil.
  • Fließend in Deutsch und Englisch, um effektiv mit internen und externen Stakeholdern zu kommunizieren.
  • Nachgewiesene Erfahrung in Vertrieb, Geschäftsentwicklung oder Account Management.
  • Starkes Bewusstsein für Verbrauchertrends im eCommerce und die Fähigkeit, Kampagnen zur Geschäftsentwicklung zu konzipieren und umzusetzen.
  • Lösungsorientierter Vertrieb: Stetiges Wachstum von Kundenbeziehungen. Du bist immer auf der Suche nach neuen Wegen, um Beziehungen zu vertiefen und auszubauen.
  • Kreatives Denken und logische Herangehensweise sind entscheidend, um Ideen für die Händlerakquise und -verwaltung zu entwickeln.
  • Selbstmotivation und der Drang, zu übertreffen und zu liefern.
