About the Role:

Transfix is on an exciting growth trajectory, and we are looking for an Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll develop relationships with our customers (shippers), to gain a deep understanding of their business needs and help them manage their critical shipments with best-in-class customer service. As the primary contact for a wide range of shippers, you’ll be proactively communicating with them, sharing price quotes, designing solutions, and supporting them with any operational challenges that arise. 

You’ll also get to work across multiple departments here at Transfix to ensure that our internal teams are aligned, as we deliver every day for our customers while meeting and exceeding our KPI goals.

In this Role You Will:

  • Communicate and meet regularly with a book of shipper customers to gain a deep understanding of their business goals and needs. Ensure that we are meeting or exceeding their expectations, goals, and key performance metrics to further develop and grow accounts.
  • Develop relationships across all customer contacts and deliver a positive experience, driving client retention and account growth.
  • Solve logistical issues in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of shipments while maintaining proper documentation in the system.
  • Identify new opportunities for growth within an existing book of business.
  • Assist in further developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and engagement plans for top accounts.
  • Lead business reviews, asking customers to entrust you with their freight. You'll provide quotes, complete RFPs, resolve issues, and communicate shipment updates as needed.
  • Ensure accurate rates and accessorials are applied to shipments; accept or reject load tenders as necessary.
  • Ensure day-to-day operations and shipments are executed in a timely and proper manner, in accordance with SOPs, Contract Terms, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate closely with operations, carrier, pricing, and support teams, communicating customer needs to ensure alignment and maximize success.
  • Provide input on new processes, workflows, and pricing strategies to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor, review, and analyze customer and market data, delivering valuable insights, negotiating solutions, and continuously improving.
  • Drive automation, integrations, and technology adoption for our shippers.

You’re an Excellent Fit for this Role if:

  • You have 3+ years’ experience in Logistics Account Management and/or Sales
  • You are flexible, adaptable, and open to new ways of working in a traditional industry; we are disrupting an industry and always innovating!
  • You love solving complex problems
  • You demonstrate strong internal and external communication skills including verbal, written, presentation, and active listening
  • Previous experience with B2B enterprise accounts, tech companies, and/or a hyper-growth B2B startup is always an advantage
  • You are willing to travel up to 10%

What You Can Expect from Transfix

  • This role is primarily a hybrid position (3 days in-office), so proximity to our New York City office is ideal. 
  • This role pays a base salary between $75,000-95,000 per year depending on experience level, a bonus/commission structure as well as Restricted Stock Units (equity) in Transfix.
  • We offer 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision health benefit premiums. That's $0 out of your paycheck!
