This position will cover Northern CA (Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Sacramento, and surrounding counties)
Position Purpose: The Account Manager III will manage and drive the overall relationship and performance of delegated PPGs and MSOs. They will serve as primary point of contact between assigned PPGs and various departments, including Medical Affairs, Provider Network Contracting & Operations, Claims & Encounter Operations, Delegation Oversight, Medical Management Teams and other shared services departments. Responsible for the retention and growth of an existing book of business.
Manages and coordinates project work of clients.
Develops relationship with clients to gather information regarding client needs.
Coordinates with other departments to ensure information regarding responsibilities with respect to new client is communicated.
Responsible for ensuring profitability of book of business.
Analyzes and interprets financial and utilization date for program management and client consultation.
Support strategy development and executes the strategy for assigned PPGs, including building strong working relationships, building trust, and maintaining high provider satisfaction and provider accountability.
Drive provider's overall performance and execute strategies to improve PPG performance. Responsible for sharing PPG Performance dashboards and scorecards and for developing and implementing improvement and action plans collaboratively, including the execution of the Delegation Modernization and Conversion Strategy.
Ensuring delegated groups are accountable to contracted performance levels in collaboration with Provider Network Management, Medical Affairs and Delegation Oversight.
Represent and advocate the voice of the provider
Define plan/approach to reflect the voice of the provider to take action and deliver
Anticipate the needs of the provider and continuously assess emerging needs.
Think and work strategically, meaning that the team constantly monitors our competitors and develops approaches to stay ahead.
Provide solutions; be experts in industry best practices and become a valued resource for our providers.
Maintain compliance with regulations and contract
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Sales, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience. Three to five years professional or supervisory experience in an HMO or other managed care organization.
Strongly preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience. Master's Degree preferred in Public Health (MPH), Health Administration (MHA), or Business Administration (MBA). Five to seven years managed care or medical group experience, focusing on network development, provider relations, quality improvement, utilization management, or clinical operations. Project management experience at a medical group, IPA, or health plan setting. Experience analyzing and presenting data to drive outcomes. Experience making presentations in group settings. At least two years management experience
Pay range: $88,600 to $159,600 per year
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. The employee may be eligible for bonuses and other forms of compensation.
