Job Overview
TE Connectivity has an Account Manager position in the North America region within the Automotive Business Unit. The position has responsibility of managing a key vertical Tier 1 harness-maker account and overall day-to-day business relationships between TE and this strategic electrical distribution supplier headquartered in Michigan. The Account Manager will report to the Industry Sales Manager and will be responsible for managing the Customer relationship for TE products and solutions within the assigned territory. The Account Manager will collaborate with Automotive team members to drive optimized Customer experience and maximum penetration of TE products. This position will be located remotely in Michigan or Texas.
Responsibilities Will Include The Following
- Serve as the primary interface between the Customer and TE Connectivity.
- Work closely with OEM Sales and Engineering to develop engineered solutions utilizing TE's existing product portfolio and development capabilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships at all levels within the Customer to position TE as a strategic partner.
- Effectively communicate with all other team members to promote the business needs of the territory to foster growth.
- Assess and qualify new business opportunities.
- Maintain a high level of awareness in regard to industry trends and competitive activity within the territory.
- Drive sales growth through maximization of resources and execution of market segment strategies.
- Identify application areas where TE does not have a market leading position and define account coverage and product requirements.
- Work with regional leaders to ensure they are supporting the Customer as necessary to become the preferred supplier.
- Responsible for understanding all aspects of the customer; including but not limited to: Available Market, Market Share, Customers Business Objectives, Goals, and Technologies.
- Responsible and accountable for delivering the annual growth plans regarding the specific Customer as well as further defining the account specific tactic under consideration of the Customer's and TE's strategies.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Business or Engineering) or 5+ years of industry experience.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Proven skills in developing/implementing strategies in support of market segments, Customers and products consistent with the overall business plan.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally and to influence without direct authority.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and computer skills (MS Office, SFDC, SAP).
- Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics.
- Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required - 25-50%
- Strong understanding of automotive connectors, terminals and related components is preferred.

COMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $81,900 - $122,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
