The Senior Sales Manager for Memory products at Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. based in San Jose, California will be responsible for managing the sales activities supporting specific customer business by using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose office/headquarters 3-4  days per week on Monday/Tuesday/etc, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time with an average of 25% travel per month of domestic and international

  • Collaborate with key decision makers at customer to secure design wins and qualification slots on new programs for NAND-based products.
  • Capable of working cross-functionally managing DRAM-based products as required.
  • Create and align sales forecast, delivering monthly revenue goals.
  • Conduct face-to-face customer management meetings to provide support, address issues, communicate updates, and build strong relationships.
  • Negotiate quarterly business awards including pricing and supply support.
  • Support sales opportunities by providing product information, roadmap updates, product samples, and price quotations.
  • Maintain awareness of and communicate internally to Device Solutions America/Korea sales and marketing teams regarding major market trends, customer strategies, and competitive activity.
  • International business travel to Korea/Asia to support customer meetings as needed.
  • Communicate and collaborate with DSK sales and marketing teams to resolve business issues, plan account strategies, and achieve revenue goals.
  • Daily collaboration with sales ops team to track sales, align customer expectation vs. delivery and to communicate with customer proactively with information 

What You Bring

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related Physical Science with 10+ years of experience or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related Physical Science with 8+Years of Industry Experience or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related Physical Science with 5+ years of Industry Experience Preferred.  Masters Degree in Business Discipline with Engineering related degree a PLUS!
  • 3+ years sales experience in semiconductor industry or related technical field
  • Sales Experience with NAND based products
  • Travel to Korea for customer business reviews (2-3x per year)
  • MS Office proficiency – excel and power point proficiency required
  • Potential for extended travel, long meetings and conference calls. Conference calls with people/teams at different time zones.

The pay range below is for all roles at this level across all US locations and functions. Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training. Base Pay Range
$108,000—$218,300 USD
