Who You Are

You're an account management professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where the ability to multi-task is essential. You also have:

  • Minimum of five to ten years of proven experience and success in a field sales role, preferably in the off-highway equipment, railroad, or hydraulic tool market
  • Mechanical aptitude - must understand basic machine and hydraulic equipment operation and principals
  • Strong Account Management Expertise
  • Required knowledge of market practices, competitor's product and marketing plans
  • Ability to negotiate, work and communicate with customers at all levels - from support staff to executive leadership
  • Ability to react and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced business environment
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills on technical subjects with varying sizes of audience
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred; any CRM experience is helpful
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving; must be creative, resourceful and innovative
  • Independent worker, able to organize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to lift products and samples up to 40 lbs without assistance, set up displays and exhibits, and conduct hands-on tool demonstrations, must be able to stand for up to 8 hours and maneuver in tight spaces during demos
  • Self-motivated with high energy, strong work ethic and a positive attitude with ability to drive growth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and overall computer proficiency
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field of study preferred
  • Excellent driving record
  • Willing and able to travel both in- and out-of-state, (via car or plane) up to 40%-50% of the time including weekends and weeks at a time. International travel may be required on occasion.

What You'll Do

The Account Manager position is responsible for increasing sales revenue for their product line(s) by developing and maintaining long-term relationships with customers within their area of responsibility. As an Account Manager, you will work to satisfy customers' needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver a world-class customer experience. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be customer service oriented.

Specifically, you'll:

  • Deliver the sales goals and growth targets by building long-term relationships with Premier and Premier+ customers, promoting programs and initiatives, and identifying conversion opportunities.
  • Act as primary point of contact for assigned customers and deliver a world-class customer experience for all things sales, service and support.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and maintain good communication between the customer and the Company.
  • Forecast and develop monthly, quarterly and annual sales account plans and territory plans by state and key targets.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com (SFDC) to capture all sales opportunities, activities, customer contacts, whole good quoting (correct attachment for the right application), order conversion and reporting.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all Infrastructure product lines for customers by conducting regular training and product educations sessions for key accounts.
  • Attend and participate in all necessary training related to product, technology (SFDC) and soft skills.
  • Attend and participate in company sales meetings, training programs, trade shows, and conventions as directed.
  • Commercialize new product development as deployed.
  • Utilize and promote technology for dealer self-service.
  • Maintain knowledge of market practices, competitor's product and marketing plans and keep management informed.
  • Comply with all company policies, instructions, and directives for fulfillment of company objectives for maximum profitable sales.
  • Prepare and submit call and expense reports as required.
  • Maintain and manage company owned assets (ie., laptop computer, cell phone, credit card and other company property.
