This position is in the IBM The Weather Company business (TWC) or a shared services function supporting TWC. On August 22 2023 a definitive agreement was signed under which Francisco Partners a leading global investment firm that specializes in partnering with technology businesses will acquire The Weather Company assets from IBM. It is currently expected that as of February 1 2024 this position will be in a new company that is separate from IBM. Through increased investment and resources from Francisco Partners The Weather Company will look to move beyond forecasting alone and bring new tools and experiences to users to help them understand how weather impacts all aspects of their lives starting with health and well-being. For businesses The Weather Company plans to offer more actionable insights so organizations can provide greater value to their customers. With its advertising platform The Weather Company will continue to provide quality real-time experiences for the ad and subscription media industry while complying with all consumer privacy laws and regulations. Your Role and Responsibilities
The Weather Company’s advertising sales division harnesses cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology to unlock valuable data and insights empowering marketers to make informed decisions. We offer a suite of trusted insight-driven media data and technology solutions that seamlessly integrate into a brand’s comprehensive marketing strategy driving tangible results.
We are currently in search of a dedicated Account Manager to bolster our Advertising Sales Team. Account Managers play a pivotal role in supporting our premium advertising partners spanning our extensive range of Media Data and Technology products.
In this position you will collaborate closely with the sales operations finance legal and other internal teams to ensure the timely and successful launch of advertiser campaigns. Our Account Managers are committed to maximizing value for our partners through strategic optimizations constantly on the lookout for opportunities to increase revenue through data-driven upselling. Moreover you will be responsible for meticulously analyzing reporting and presenting campaign results to internal stakeholders agency partners and clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with Account Executives to craft a comprehensive sales strategy for TWCo advertisers and prospects.
- Formulating media plans in close coordination with TWCo’s pricing and inventory team.
- Building enduring agency and advertiser relationships aimed at long-term growth and revenue generation.
- Proactively suggesting revenue-enhancing strategies and innovative ideas.
- Serving as a trusted advisor to agency and client counterparts to foster loyalty and business improvement.
- Exceeding customer expectations through swift responsiveness the provision of insightful guidance and a deep understanding of the marketplace.
- Gathering company data research and marketing insights for client presentations and RFPs.
- Creating delivering and presenting post-campaign insight reports with a focus on analyzing and resolving brand-related business challenges.
- Cultivating internal relationships with sales support teams such as AdOps Legal Finance and Creative Lab.
- Staying informed about ad sales marketing initiatives and materials.
- Leading discussions with key internal partners to assess campaign performance and identify optimization opportunities.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Hands-on experience in the field of digital advertising.
- Experience working directly with external clients in a client-facing capacity.
- Profound expertise in project management and a demonstrated aptitude in media buying and planning.
- Exceptional technical writing skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience including clients internal teams and non-technical partners.
- Proficiency in creating comprehensive performance recap presentations and analyzing data to drive actionable insights.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Publisher Platform or Agency experience preferred.
- DSP and/or SSP experience
