Role Summary
Performs routine account management activities such as organizing visits with current and potential clients, assists with quote preparation and determining/identifying customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Commit time and creative thought to the alignment and execution of assignments in support of the Vehma/Cosma Strategic Plan.
  • Communicate with internal managers, employees, and external OEM customers to anticipate targeted opportunities/projects.
  • Determine customer needs.
  • Establish goals and develop strategy to achieve goals.
  • Monitor and inform management of industry trends and competitive information.
  • Participates in negotiation of contracts.
  • Provide day-to-day customer support.
  • Actively seek new business using marketing campaigns, site visits, and other methods
  • Assist in developing customer presentations.
  • Assist in maintaining competitor data base.
  • Assist in resolving commercial issue related to quality and material issues for products.
  • Attend plant try-outs with manufacturing representatives.
  • Attend product development meetings and follow-up on information requests from Engineering.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Build relationships with key division management.
  • Conduit to manufacturing plant sales team for quotation preparation, response, and tracking.
  • Coordinate sample submissions.
  • Follow engineering changes with customer and within the Company.
  • Follow-up on information requests from Engineering in conjunction with the Program Managers.
  • Sell the company to the customer, i.e., Company's philosophy, structure, capability and expertise. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Act with honesty and integrity, and make ethical business choices in accordance with Magna's Compliance Policies and Procedures.

Key Qualifications/Requirements
Education - Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Education - Preferred: Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Years of Experience: Minimum zero to three (0-3) years of related experience required
Supervisory Experience: None
Licenses and Certifications: None
Other Skills/Experience -Required:
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and software, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Additional Information
Must have a valid driver's license in good standing. Must be able to travel domestic and international.
